Sascha Kraus, born in 1979 in Essen, Germany, is a renowned photographer known for his compelling portraits of politicians, former child soldiers, prisoners, and more.

His work combines his passion for rap music with photography, addressing themes of inequality and social challenges.

Educated in Photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund, Kraus blends traditional analog techniques with contemporary approaches to create striking, high-quality images. His global projects capture the human struggle for survival and resilience.

Kraus’s work has been featured in exhibitions across Germany and internationally, including a permanent installation at the Ruhr Museum Essen. He has received numerous awards, such as the TIFA Book Documentary Award in Tokyo (2016) and the DDC Excellent Arts Award.

He is a member of the BFF (Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter) and Freelens.
